When a candle says soy blend, it usually means one thing:
It’s mixed with paraffin.
Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct — the same stuff used in jet fuel and motor oil. It’s cheap. It holds fragrance well. And when it burns? It can release carcinogens into your air — like benzene and toluene.
